A Few of My Favorite Women’s Blogs

I could spend hours and hours browsing blogs online, whether they’re about fashion, travel, beauty, fitness, food… I could read them all. When I was young, I used to have stacks of magazines all over my room. My mom used to make me throw out the old ones on a regular basis so the shelf I had them on wouldn’t collapse. Yeah, that’s how many magazines I had.

Today, I still buy magazines, but I find that reading a blog, that is uploaded daily and sometimes even multiple times a day, can be just as fun.

I have a few blogs that I actively look forward to their daily updating. Here’s my list…

1. cupcakesandcashmere.com – This blog is my absolute favorite, my number 1. I even bought the book the blogger, Emily Schuman, wrote a few months ago and love that too.  She posts about fashion, entertaining, food and beauty and I love every second of it. For anyone who likes anything girly, this blog is for you.

2. theglitterguide.com – Well, I guess this one is pretty girly too (it is named the glitter guide).  It is updated multiple times a day which makes it feel even more like a magazine and encompasses posts on fashion, beauty, lifestyle, shopping and trends.  Their instagram is pretty awesome too.

3. refinery29.com – This blog is pretty similar to theglitterguide in the sense that it is updated multiple times a day.  Refinery 29 discusses fashion, beauty, entertainment, etc. but also discusses media news, like who is gracing the cover of Vanity Fair.

Those are my three go-to blogs for all things girly. I live for their updates each morning.

Cupcakes and Cashmere

This weekend I went on a bit of a spending spree. I bought new clothes, pumpkin beer, lunch and lastly, Cupcakes and Cashmere by blogger, Emily Schuman. Here’s her blog — cakesandcashmere.com, it’s awesome.

The book is broken down into seasons, starting with Spring, with recipes, style advice, party planning tips, home decorating and beauty tips for each season. I started with the Fall chapter since Saturday marked the beginning of the season.

I’m only one chapter in so far, but I’m loving every page of it. It’s tempting and inspiring me to throw a Halloween party and make my apartment a little homier for the colder months (and the future).

I 100% recommend this book. Even once I finish it, I’m excited to look back for party tips and delicious and classic recipes, like Bloody Mary’s and chocolate chip cookies.
